Course overview
This course has been developed to provide foundational knowledge that is key to your development within the fire industry. You will learn the routine procedures of fire protections systems and equipment, and the practical application.
This qualification is applicable to fire protection technicians responsible for non-trade installation and regular servicing of fire protection equipment aligned with Australian standards.
Duration and study load
iManage delivers this course through distance learning using a combination of blended learning, work place based learning and submission of project work for assessment. Students have 24 months from the commencement date to complete the course.

This is a Fire Protection Australia Accreditation course. You must already have completed your Certificate II before registering for this course.

Entry Requirements
Students will need to be currently working as a Fire Systems Designer in the Fire Protection Industry and will require a workplace mentor, as learning is a union between iManage training & the workplace. There are no formal pre-requisites for this qualification however you will be expected to have access to:

National Construction Code of Australia
Australian Standards.
It is recommended that students are able to demonstrate Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills equivalent to Level 2 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF).
